The Challenge: Offering Instant Bank Card Issuance Service in Bank Branches
The Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) in Seychelles was seeking a solution to offer its clients personalized debit cards issued directly within its branches.
The card needed to be produced in Mauritius and personalized in Seychelles with the cardholder’s name. The solution needed to provide the bank with greater autonomy and responsiveness while ensuring complete data security.
The Solution: The Zenius Printer
ICPS (International Card Processing Services), based in Mauritius, received this request. After discovering Evolis solutions at a trade show, they immediately turned to the French manufacturer and its Zenius card printer model.
With the support of Evolis partner Unicorn MSJ, ICPS deployed a complete solution for MCB, as well as for three other financial institutions across six countries. These various projects involved around forty Zenius printers.
The Result: Increased Flexibility and Security
Thanks to an online platform, branch staff are able to order payment cards, create a customer profile, activate the card, and generate it instantly with the Zenius printer. A key element of the project is guaranteed personal data security, a requirement fully met by Evolis systems.
Additionally, their ease of integration with third-party IT systems and their reliability have established a long-term partnership between ICPS and Evolis. The Mauritian company now offers these solutions to all their clients in the Indian Ocean and the African continent.
