Famoco and Evolis team up to facilitate the issuance of personalized cards on site

Famoco, a global leader in secure mobile solutions, and Evolis, a global leader in personalization solutions and card printing systems, announced today a strategic partnership to develop an innovative on-site enrollment and instant card printing solution. This significant advancement aims to facilitate people’s identification in emerging countries.
This solution will be showcased at ID4Africa 2023, which will be held from May 23 to 25 in Nairobi, Kenya.
A partnership to address a major challenge, particularly in Africa
The World Bank’s ID4D (Identification for Development) project estimates that approximately 1 billion people worldwide are without legal identity, with a large majority in Africa. By decentralizing card production and personalizing them at enrollment, this strategic partnership simplifies the deployment of inclusive identification systems and streamlines card issuance. In addition, it promotes access to services, even in rural areas.
This turnkey solution developed by Famoco and Evolis enables integrators to offer their clients a simple and fast way to decentralize the production of personalized cards. It eliminates card distribution fees and reduces the time required to issue cards. This results in significant operational cost savings and increased satisfaction for beneficiaries who receive their cards immediately.
A first contract signed with MUGEF-CI in Côte d’Ivoire
The partnership has already led to a first contract signed with MUGEF-CI in Côte d’Ivoire. Thanks to this solution, MUGEFCI will be able to speed up its members enrollment and card printing process, fight against fraud, optimize administrative file management, and guarantee the protection of members’ personal data.
